I have been trained at this institute You are kindly aware that this Institute of India was set up in 1999 as a nodal national agency to meet the urgent capacity building needs for scientific laparoscopic training and research in the field of Minimal Access Surgery. One of the key instruments for building capacity among officials of the Minimal Access Surgery Department has been the 1 month Postgraduate Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery. Till date 300 courses have been organized in which 2711 Indian candidates and 2185 candidates from other countries have been trained. A need has been felt to conduct a post-training evaluation in order to determine the effectiveness of the course and to bring about changes as needed, based on the changing requirements in the field recent advances in minimal access surgery.

Our state-of-the-art training facilities in New Delhi offer 6 – 10 workstations for a maximum of 12 – 20 participants. Different training modules have been developed for “dry” and “wet” lab training in laparoscopic procedures. Intensive hands-on sessions on animal models prepare for the real case and small working teams are the ideal set-up for an intensive exchange of knowledge.

Minimally invasive techniques are gaining importance in many operative fields thus require a continuous improvement both of theoretical knowledge as well as of practical skills.
Since 2001 the Laparoscopy Hospital has offered a broad range of endoscopic courses directed by a renown international faculty. Quality is the key – this is why all courses are accredited in many countries. I would like to request the admin to please explain how this training is conducted so that viewer will get benifited.

Hi,
I am fully convienced with the concept that there is a great need to train the trainer of Minimal Access Surgery. It is very interesting to know that there is only few centre in the world who train the trainers. I am a laparoscopic surgeon doing surgery since last 15 years. I want to start my own training centre and I am planning to take this training.
